Xylem Tree Experts in Raleigh, NC is hiring an Equipment Operator for our Residential/Commercial Crew. The role requires safe operation of heavy equipment to remove branches and tree material, with a CDL requiring within 90 days of hire.

You will support the Foreperson, maintain equipment, and ensure safety at all times. Experience in tree care or vegetation management is preferred, along with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• CDL or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Experience operating heavy equipment in tree care/vegetation management.
• Knowledge of basic mechanical repair is a plus.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Responsabilités

• Check equipment daily for fuel or fluids and inspect for safety before use.
• Assist crew members and take a leadership role when required.

• Maintain above-standard customer relations and report incidents.

Xylem Tree Care is hiring an Equipment Operator across Raleigh, NCfor our Residential/Commercial Crew. The Equipment Operator effectively and safely operates heavy equipment of various types to remove branches and tree material. CDL is Required.

Essential Functions

• Always follow and help enforce safe practices and rules.
• Operate equipment, in a safe, efficient, and effective manner while minimizing all risks to job site personnel, the public, and property.
• Assist in preparing equipment and materials for each day’s work at the Foreperson’s direction.
• Check equipment daily for needed fuel or fluids and inspect for safety before use.
• Assist other crew members in all aspects of daily activities and take a leadership role when required.
• Assist with the clean up and disposal of all debris.
• Set up barriers, warning signs, flags, markers, etc. to protect employees and the public.
• Keep informed on new equipment, specifications, standard practices, operating procedures, and customer and company employee relations policies and practices.
• Maintain above-standard customer relations.
• Accident Reporting.

Education And Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Commercial Drivers License (CDL) or ability to attain one within 90 days of hire. We offer CDL training and assistance.
• Experience operating heavy equipment within the tree care industry, utility line clearance, and/or vegetation management industry.
• Knowledge of basic mechanical repair is a plus.
• Must possess and maintain a Valid driver’s license.

Work Authorization Requirements

Must meet I-9 requirements.
