Things You'll Do

• Operate heavy equipment safely & efficiently, such as trackhoes, backhoes, graders, loaders, skidsteers, crushing equipment, dozers, etc.
• Excavate trenches, load trucks, and grade pads/floors.
• Teach and direct laborers.
• Read and understand plans, instructions, and specifications to determine work needed.
• Measure, mark, and record openings and distances for layout.
• Maintain equipment through greasing, oiling, and minor repairs using appropriate tools.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• At least 1 year of experience operating loaders, dozers, or trackhoes.
• Ability to read plans and gradestakes.
• Ability to bend, sit for long periods, and work in heat.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs without assistance.
• Attention to safety and commitment to safe work practices.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
