Job summary

The City of Longview is seeking a full-time labor/maintenance worker to perform semi-skilled and general labor, maintenance and repair work in accordance with safety regulations. Responsibilities include operating equipment, collecting waste, and assisting with vehicle maintenance across city facilities.

Minimum requirements include a High School diploma or GED and one year of basic maintenance experience, with a valid Texas driver’s license and CDL A/B as required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent and one year of basic maintenance experience.
• Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License; CDL Class A or B is required.

Responsibilities

• Operates basic equipment and performs labor tasks to maintain streets, parks, water and sewer systems and facilities.
• Inspects and performs routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment; uses hand and power tools safely.
