Primary Purpose: Operators are responsible for the safe, efficient, and quality-conscious processing of scrap steel. Assure the work being performed consistently meets or exceeds the expectations of the supervisor by following published policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist in material transfer and storage.
2. Operate heavy equipment used in material handling and loading.
3. Upkeep of assigned equipment or tools.
4. Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns.
5. Complete appropriate documentation and paperwork.
6. Perform all work in compliance with company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
7. Participate in daily/weekly safety meetings.
8. Perform general preventative maintenance activities, repairs, and housekeeping tasks.
9. Perform other terminal duties as needed.
