Job summary

City of Concord is seeking an Equipment Operator to operate and transport a range of construction and street-cleaning equipment. The role involves daily waste collection or street cleaning routes and completing work orders with proper documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate and transport construction equipment (e.g., front-end loader, backhoe, knuckle boom, roll off truck, bobcat, rear loader, dump truck, hydro seeder).
• Perform daily routes for waste collection or street cleaning.
• Generate and complete work orders and document daily activities.
• Conduct pre-operational inspections and perform preventative maintenance and cleaning.
• Provide information to and assist customers.

Job description

The purpose of this position is to operate and transport equipment to assist in construction projects, waste collection, and street cleaning.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Transports, sets up, and operates equipment, including, but not limited to: front-end loader, backhoe, knuckle boom, roll off truck, bobcat, rear loader, dump truck, and hydro seeder.
• Performs daily routes to collect waste or clean streets.
• Generates and completes assigned work orders and documents daily activities.
• Completes inspection and/or pre-operational checklist on equipment and requests or performs preventative maintenance and cleaning.
• Provides information to and assists customers.

Supplemental Functions:

• Performs other similar duties as required.

Licensing and Certifications:
