Job summary

Raptor Materials LLC is seeking an Equipment Operator for the Recycle division in a day-shift role with flexible hours. The position offers full-time employment with overtime as needed and reports to the Mine Supervisor.

You will operate a range of machinery to build and maintain county roads and related infrastructure, with a focus on safety and reliability. Responsibilities include operating graders, loaders, backhoes, and rollers, performing basic maintenance, and assisting with repairs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-5 years Equipment Operator experience.
  • Safety-minded with a good safety record.
  • Ability to communicate with managers and other employees.
  • Good interpersonal skills; maintain professional demeanor.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Willingness to work early morning and late evening shifts.
  • Willingness to work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

  • Operates graders, front-end loaders, backhoes, asphalt distributors, rollers and related equipment to maintain and repair county roads and drainage structures.
  • Checks and fuels vehicles; perform light mechanical adjustments; assist with repairs on assigned equipment.
  • Ensure all site activities are performed safely and in accordance with procedures; report safety incidents.
  • Display professional decorum at all times.
  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and housekeeping tasks as required.
  • May drive dump and water trucks.
  • May blade roads and spread gravel and rock using graders.
  • May make and grade road shoulders, bridge headers, shape ditches, and install culverts using grader.
  • May perform various manual tasks involved in repairing roads and bridges.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Salary: $26.00- $31.00


Summary
Under immediate supervision, performs semiskilled work in operating a limited variety of general hauling, construction, and maintenance equipment in the construction and maintenance of county roads and other county property.
Position does not supervise any other employees.

Essential Functions

  • Operates any of the following types of equipment: graders, front-end loaders, backhoes, asphalt distributors, rollers, and related equipment to maintain and repair county roads and drainage structures.
  • Checks and fuels vehicles and perform light mechanical adjustments and assists mechanic in performing repairs on assigned equipment.
  • Ensure all site activities are performed in a safe and efficient manner, while adhering to safety regulations and established operational procedures.
  • Immediately report and safety-related incidents.

  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and housekeeping tasks, as required.
