Job summary

Tilcon New York Inc., a CRH company, located in New York and New Jersey, is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventative maintenance on production equipment and maintain bucket hardware. The role requires basic mechanical skills, a safety mindset, and ability to read English.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Mechanical skills required.
• Must have a safety mindset.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to carry out simple oral and written instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with and work well with other personnel.
• Successful completion of MSHA/OSHA Training upon hire.
• Demonstrates safe, productive job performance.
• Ability to read English.

Responsibilities

• Perform various PM duties on production equipment including fueling, greasing, changing bulbs, wipers and oil lubricants.
• Maintain bucket hardware on production fleet.
• Wear required PPE (hard-hat, safety glasses, safety footwear, gloves, hearing protection, respirator).
• Perform routine preventative maintenance to maximize plant productivity.
• Carry out risk assessments before work and perform area inspections.
• Grease and maintain all grease fittings; maintain proper fluid levels.
• Fuel equipment and detect safety hazards; respond accordingly.
• May be asked to assist other departments or perform additional duties as needed.
• Work overtime and weekends as required; maintain regular attendance.
