Job summary

Tilcon Connecticut Inc., a CRH company, seeks a skilled masonry worker to support the Construction and Paving Division with catch basins, manholes, and sidewalk work.

You will mix and move cement, bricks, blocks, and formwork, and install concrete for curbing and sidewalks, with day and night shifts and safety as a priority. Candidates must be able to work in varying weather and lift up to 95 pounds.

Primary Responsibilities

This position requires masonry skills required to build catch basins, manholes, setting of concrete and stone curbing installation of concrete for form work and sidewalk construction. Mixing and movement of bagged cement, bricks, blocks, and formwork.

Principle Accountabilities

• Masonry requirements used in support of the Construction and Paving Division.
• Ability to perform strenuous work in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to perform all job duties in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ability to perform work in daytime and nighttime conditions.

Personal Protective Equipment

Employees are required to wear personal protective equipment in designated operations and Construction areas as outlined by OSHA and state agencies. Protective equipment that is required for this position; Hardhat, safety glasses, reinforced toed shoes, band protection, safety vest/high visibility clothing for any work in field. Hearing protection.
