Job summary

Adams Construction Company is seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join its paving crew in Virginia. You will operate heavy paving machinery including pavers, rollers, and related equipment to excavate, move, grade, and lay asphalt on road projects.

Applicants should have at least 3 years of experience with heavy equipment, a High School diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and overtime. CDL is preferred and drug testing is required.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment on construction sites.
• Ability to read and interpret project plans and grade control requirements.
• Strong work ethic, teamwork, and respect for all individuals.
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; CDL preferred.
• Willingness to work overtime, nights, and weekends; able to pass pre-employment drug tests.

Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt pavers, rollers, and other heavy paving equipment.
• Control speed, direction, and material flow to ensure proper compaction and thickness.
