Job Description

Team Fishel, the Best Choice Employer in the utility construction business, is hiring Equipment Operators for our Lexington, KY office. We are specifically interested in operators with experience operating backhoes.

The purpose of an Equipment Operator at Team Fishel is to assist the Foreman in completing projects safely, on time, and within the customer’s specifications for quality, along with other work as needed.

Responsibilities

1. Operate company vehicles daily to deliver and pick up materials, reels of cable, steel plates, service tools, and equipment.
2. Work in the field with crews installing manholes, vaults, and completing related tasks.
3. Operate utility construction equipment safely and productively, including but not limited to: backhoes, directional drills, trenchers, skid-steer loaders, cranes, digger derricks, bucket trucks, excavators, and crane trucks, with 3+ years of experience.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL driver’s license (strongly preferred).
• Familiarity with DOT (Department of Transportation) enforcement and compliance regulations.
• Meet all DOT physical and drug testing requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively with teammates.
• Willingness to work and follow directions.
• Thorough knowledge of utility construction and installation.
• Willingness to travel is a plus.
• Bilingual skills, OQ qualification, and prior construction experience are additional advantages.
