Job Summary

The Equipment Operator/Laborer performs highway maintenance duties following detailed instructions, operating various equipment safely to prevent damage or injury.

Responsibilities

• Operate highway maintenance equipment safely and in compliance with safety regulations.
• Perform highway maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, installing signs, patching roads, and winter snow removal.
• Assist in roadside cleanup and emergency response activities.
• Maintain equipment and ensure safety protocols are followed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid CDL with air-brake and tanker endorsements.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs routinely, up to 100lbs at times.
• 1-2 years of highway equipment experience, snowplow experience preferred.

Working Conditions

• Frequent standing, walking, sitting, talking, and hearing.
• Heavy physical effort required.
• Travel up to 20% of the time.
