US Aggregates, a Heritage Group member, is seeking an Equipment Operator/Laborer to support production, safety, and quality across the operations function. You will operate loaders, haul trucks, and skid steers and perform routine checks to keep the plant in good standing.
The role requires adherence to safety rules, accurate recordkeeping, and the ability to work in shifts including days, nights, and weekends. Strong teamwork and basic English literacy are essential.
As an Equipment Operator/Laborer, you will have responsibility for maintaining production, maintenance, quality, and safety within the Aggregates’ Operations function, including but not limited to, operating heavy equipment, such as Front-End Loaders, Haul Trucks, Skid Steers, etc.
Essential Functions
Operate, service, and maintain various heavy equipment including front-end loaders, off road dump trucks, skid steer, man-lift, fuel truck and water truck in order to keep plant clean and in production
Responsible for fueling, oiling, greasing equipment as well as understanding the equipment’s safety manual
Perform pre-shift and end of shift checks and maintenance on equipment
Report orally and in writing to as required and maintain accurate records (i.e. activity reports, inventory reports, maintenance logs, etc.) as directed
Participate in general training, job specific training and hazardous materials training as required; successfully complete written examinations as required
Understand and follow all policies, procedures, and safety rules as applicable to facility, job function and equipment, including rules governing safety around railroad tracks and equipment
Keep facilities and equipment clean and maintained
Recommend changes to the operation which may produce safer work processes, savings and efficiencies
Abiding by yard rules, safety regulations and PPE requirements
Accurately completing all required paperwork
Abide by terminals processes and procedures relating to product transfers, quality assurance, safety, and operations
Complete required training and certifications necessary to perform duties safely and effectively
Other duties as assigned
