Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts and Kendall Vegetation Services is seeking a field operations employee in Boone, NC. This full-time role involves vegetation management, equipment handling, and leadership support under the Foreperson's direction.

Responsibilities include following safety rules, maintaining gear, reporting mileage, and performing storm-work duties as needed. Benefits include health insurance and a 401K; background checks, drug screens, and E-Verify are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in Vegetation Management.
• Experience in safe operations and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
• Knowledge of daily maintenance and safe operations of all equipment used.
• Able to hear verbal instructions from a distance.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe practices and rules and help enforce them.
• Prepare equipment and materials for the day’s work as directed by Foreperson.
• Operate equipment as directed by Foreperson.
• Help maintain and repair equipment and tools used in operations.
• Assist crew members and take a leadership role when required.
• Clean up and dispose of debris.
• Set up barriers, warning signs, flags, or markers to protect employees and the public.
• Keep informed on new equipment, specs, and standard operating procedures.
• Track and report mileage to Foreperson.
• Perform duties for storm work as needed.
• Submit daily timesheets and billing information in AMS system.

Job description

• Pay or shift range: $22 USD to $24 USD
  This is an estimated pay range for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

• Always follow and help enforce safe practices and rules.

Education and Experience

This position requires employee to be able to pass a background check and drug screen as required for this job.
