Job summary

ISA Certified Arborist in Phenix City, AL is seeking a hands-on crew member for vegetation management. This full-time role requires operating and preparing equipment, assisting forepersons, and maintaining safety at the job site.

Travel is required for storm work; the position includes daily reporting in the AMS system and close collaboration with the crew. Eligible candidates should pass a background check and drug screen, and be able to meet work authorization requirements.

• Must have 2+ years experience in vegetation management.
• Able to pass background check and drug screen.
• Work authorization per I-9 + E-Verify requirements.

Responsibilities

• Always follow and enforce safe practices and rules.
• Assist in preparing equipment and materials for daily work.
• Operate equipment as directed by Foreperson.
• Help maintain and repair equipment and tools.
• Assist crew members and take lead when required.
• Clean up and dispose of debris.
• Set up barriers, warning signs, and markers.
• Keep informed on new equipment and procedures.
• Track and report mileage to Foreperson.
• Perform storm work as needed.
• Submit daily timesheets and billing via AMS system.
• Maintain above standard customer relations.

• Pay or shift range: $17 USD to $23 USD
  This is an estimated pay range for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

• Operate equipment as directed by Foreperson.


• Help maintain and repair equipment and tools used in operations.


• Assist other crew members in all aspects of daily activities and take a leadership role when required.

• Sets up barriers, warning signs, flags, markers, etc. to protect employees and public.


• Keeps informed on new equipment, specifications, standard practices, operating procedures, and customer and company employee relations policies and practices


• Track and report mileage to Foreperson


• Perform duties for storm work as needed


• Performs daily reporting using AMS system to submit timesheets and billing information.


• Maintain above standard customer relations.

Education and Experience

• Two years’ experience in Vegetation Management.


• Experience in safe operations and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.


• Knowledge of daily maintenance and safe operations of all equipment used.


• Able to hear verbal instructions from a distance.

Position requires employee to be able to pass a background check and drug screen as required for this job.
