Job summary

City and County of Denver's Street Maintenance is hiring an Equipment Operator III (Crusher / Screener) to support the asphalt plant and city infrastructure at the Roslyn Campus in Denver.

You will operate heavy and medium equipment, ensure safety and maintenance, and work with asphalt plant staff to meet production targets, including snow removal duties. A CDL-B with tanker endorsement is required within 6 months, and prior two years heavy equipment experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED/HiSET/TASC certificate.
• Three (3) years of experience operating medium-sized, specialized equipment including two (2) years of large, heavy industrial equipment.
• CDL "B" with appropriate endorsements at the time of application; Tanker endorsement within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor conveyors, crushers, and screens to maintain material flow and safety.
• Direct front-end loader and hauling operators to meet production targets and coordinate with asphalt plant staff.
• Perform routine maintenance on belts, pulleys, drive belts, bearings, and screens; assist with repairs as needed.
• Complete and maintain daily logs including production hours, tonnage, fuel usage, and inspections.
• Participate in snow removal duties and other related duties as assigned.
