Job summary

R.H. White is seeking an Equipment Operator I to support underground utility construction including water, sewer and drainage installations.

You will excavate and prepare trenches, install piping, set manholes and catch basins, assist with backfilling, grading and site restoration while safely operating trenching and site equipment. This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 3+ years of related experience, a MA Hoisting license, OSHA-10 or company-supported, and a valid U.S.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 3+ years of related experience and education.
• Qualified on at least two pieces of equipment from the listed options (one per bullet).
• Basic GPS and drawing interpretation knowledge, helpful.
• MA Hoisting license required.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Obtain and maintain all required Operator Qualifications to perform work.
• OSHA-10 Certification (company-supported if not current), DOT Medical Card, valid U.S. driver's license, successful drug screen, background check, and MVR review per regulations.

Responsibilities

• Excavate and prepare trenches and install piping systems.
• Set manholes and catch basins; assist with backfilling and grading.
• Support site restoration and general labor duties as needed.
• Safely operate excavation and site equipment; assist with pipe laying.
