Job summary

Farwest is seeking an Equipment Operator in Stockton, CA. The role involves operating metal cutting equipment and maintaining quality while working Monday to Friday, day shift.

Starting wage ranges from $20.15 to $30.40 per hour, dependent on experience, with pre-employment drug testing and background checks. You will work closely with crane operators and other production staff to ensure efficient, safe, and accurate part processing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions precisely.
• Basic math and measurement skills are needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate metal burning/sawing equipment to maintain uptime and part quality.
• Coordinate with crane and machine operators to minimize downtime.
• Review tickets, specs, temperatures, and part numbers before cutting.
• Verify heat numbers and document accordingly.
• Perform first article inspections for thickness and cut quality.
• Mark remnants with color codes, heat numbers, and REM numbers.
• Strive to minimize waste and maximize machine time while following safety protocols.
