Job summary

City of Albuquerque seeks a skilled equipment operator for a range of construction and maintenance tasks. You will operate motor graders, loaders, water trucks, and more to support street and runway projects.

Safety is a core requirement; this role may require a CDL Class A or B and proper certifications. The position is on-site, with potential shifts including evenings or weekends to meet project needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 30 credit hours vocational training in maintenance and operation of medium duty equipment.
• At least 1 year of construction equipment operation and maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of medium to large equipment (motor grader, dump trucks, loaders, water trucks, etc.).
• Grade roads using motor grader and roll asphalt.
• Load waste and transport to proper locations.
• Perform debris removal, culvert and ditch maintenance, and general site cleanup.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and ensure safety practices.
