Job summary

The City of Johnson City is seeking a Motor Equipment Operator II to join the Public Works construction/stormwater crew. This position performs intermediate skilled work operating dump trucks and heavy equipment, ensuring safe operation and efficient maintenance of gear.

Work may require supervision of one or two laborers; a valid Class B CDL is required or obtainable within 120 days. Pre-employment DOT physical, drug screening, and background checks apply.

Qualifications

• Experience operating dump trucks and other heavy public works equipment.
• Ability to interpret verbal and written instructions and prepare reports.
• Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations governing equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavier, more complex equipment as part of the Public Works crew.
