Job summary

Tarrant County seeks a skilled equipment operator to support maintenance and construction of county roads and city projects. You will operate trucks and light equipment, perform related duties, and control traffic flow at active work sites.

A valid Class C license is required, with a Class A CDL and tanker endorsement due within eight months of hire. Physical demands include heavy lifting and exposure to hazardous conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one (1) year related experience preferred.
• A Class A CDL with tanker endorsement required within eight (8) months of hire.

Minimum Requirements

An additional four (4) years of related experience may substitute for a high school diploma.

A current and valid Class C driver license is required upon hire.

A Class A CDL with tanker endorsement is required within eight (8) months of hire.

Physical Demands And Work Environment & Other Requirements

While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to stoop, bend, push and pull. May have to lift heavy boxes or objects up to 100 pounds. May be exposed to hazardous chemicals. Exposure to extreme heat and cold.
