Job summary

Skilled manual work in the operation of specialized and heavy equipment and other public works vehicles, and in performing construction and maintenance activities; all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma and three years of experience in public works construction and maintenance activities including the operation of heavy equipment; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Massachusetts CDL Class A Unrestricted driver’s license with air brake and tanker endorsements.
• Massachusetts Hydraulic Hoisting 2A and 1C license required.
• Massachusetts Class 4G Hoisting License preferred.

Additional Qualifications

• Working knowledge of preventative maintenance techniques.
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor under varying weather conditions.
• Demonstrated skill in operating and maintaining all types of special and heavy equipment and trucks.
