Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma and two years of experience in public works construction and maintenance activities; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Qualifications: Massachusetts CDL Class B drivers license required, with an air brake endorsement. Massachusetts Class 4G Hoisting License. Massachusetts 2B and IC Hydraulic license. Working knowledge of public works equipment operations and mechanics. Knowledge of construction and maintenance procedures. Knowledge of traffic laws. Ability to perform heavy manual labor under varying weather conditions. Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and properly. Skill in the effective and efficient use of equipment and machinery.

Salary: $2,235.36 bi-weekly, plus benefits, including health insurance (70% employer premium contribution), paid time off (three weeks’ vacation, personal and sick time), 13.5 paid holidays, $1,250.00 clothing allowance per year, annual step & COLA increases, emergency differential pay, overtime opportunities, training and education incentives, employment advancement opportunities, and participation in Barnstable County Retirement System.
