Job summary

Seaboard Marine operates heavy equipment at our Miami terminal to organize and transport cargo for vessel and rail operations. You will use a handheld device to update container locations and ensure efficient staging for inspections and shipping.

The role requires driving a mule/yard jockey, 52 forklift, or top loader with the ability to obtain required certifications within 90 days. A valid license and basic English are required, with a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience operating Mule jockey, 52k forklift, empty handler or top loader, or a CDL-A with one year on heavy equipment.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Must obtain certification to operate large 30k/52k forklift, mule/yard jockey, and top loader/empty handler within 90 days.
• Ability to communicate (read, write, and speak) in basic English.
• Flexible schedule including overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate Mule, 52 Forklift, Top Loader and Empty Handler to move and stage cargo.
• Update container locations and government moves using handheld device or computer.
• Move and stage containers for Agriculture Inspection and X-Ray requirements.
• Check equipment for safety and maintenance before use.
• Coordinate with other departments to optimize productivity.
