Job summary

Wonderful Citrus is seeking an operator to manage the complete operation, repairs, welfare, and maintenance of fruit sorting equipment in California. You will set up and run electronic sorting gear and ensure smooth production with regular calibrations and quality checks.

The role requires basic math, computer fluency (Windows, Excel, Word) and the ability to work with teams in a fast-paced environment. Safety and reliable downtime reporting are essential components of the job.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Experience with Windows, Excel and Word.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the electronic fruit sorting equipment.
• Perform general equipment repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Fill-out downtime documentation efficiently.
• Maintain grading standards through automated equipment and adjust as needed.
• Collect and evaluate fruit samples.
• Calibrate units regularly for proper performance.
• Keep electronic and hardware clean and in good working condition.
• Load equipment with film and mesh by lifting materials multiple times per shift.
• Follow safety standards including fall protection when climbing above ground.
