A leading construction company seeks Crane Operators to manage and operate cranes for moving heavy equipment. The role involves safety compliance, load planning, and equipment inspection. Candidates must possess NCCCO certification and have substantial experience in crane operation, ensuring an integral part of project success.
Crane Operators will operate one or more cranes to move heavy equipment from one location to another location on the project site. This often entails a change in altitude from one location to the next.
DUTIES:
Responsible to operate various construction cranes
Ability to move equipment and other materials with crane
Plan operational lifts
Must inspect equipment
Perform preventative maintenance on cranes
Responsible for all safety aspects of operating the equipment
May follow signal directions from a signaler/spotter in equipment operations
Will access area of operations for safety issues and required processes and planning of equipment operations
Qualifications
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have 5 years of experience and knowledge of operating cranes
Must have basic mechanical knowledge and illustrate the abilities to inspect equipment
Must be able to illustrate load planning and lift planning
Must hold a current NCCCO certification
Must know all proper hand signals
Must be willing to assist in other duties while not operating a crane
Must be willing and able to follow all instructed safety regulations
Must be able to make it to work on time and work the designated schedule and any overtime as needed with the proper notification
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work in environment of fluctuating ventilation
Employee will adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting and lifting
May be required to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50lbs
Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off of platforms/scaffolding using the appropriate fall protection requirements
Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE
Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/spoggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves and leather steel-toed work boots
