Job summary

City of Alvin seeks a dependable Street Maintenance Worker to operate construction equipment safely, perform manual labor as needed, and help maintain city streets. Responsibilities include repairing or replacing street signs and supporting daily urban maintenance under the Street Supervisor.

Candidate should have a high school diploma or GED and up to two years of related experience; a valid Class B CDL is required to drive relevant equipment.

Qualifications

Perform manual labor as necessary. Maintain City streets, repair or replace street signs and perform other duties as assigned. Reports to the Street Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

Requires a high school diploma or GED supplemented by up to two years of previous experience in street maintenance and/or heavy equipment operations, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Special Requirements

Must possess a valid class "B" CDL state driver's license.
