Job summary

Lumin8 Transportation Technologies Llc is seeking an Equipment Operator in Wilson, NC to operate a range of heavy vehicles and equipment for electrical and infrastructure projects.

You will drive and position equipment, inspect and perform basic maintenance, and follow safety procedures on active work sites. This full-time hourly role offers benefits and opportunities for growth within a growing smart infrastructure services company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum eight years combined experience as Groundsman/Laborer, Maintenance Technician I or Construction Technician I, and Equipment Operator I.
• Must possess and maintain valid Texas CDL Class A.
• Ability to operate gas torches (cutting and brazing).
• Must be proficient with basic hand tools and power tools.
• Must be able to read plans and schematic diagrams.
• Must be familiar with MUTCD, NEC, CDOT, Local, Customer, and Project specific standards and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Skilled and technical work in the construction, installation, and repair of traffic signal systems, highway lighting, and other transportation related systems.
• Drives construction equipment to and from job sites, loads and unloads equipment from trucks and/or trailers.
• Inspects equipment, performs preventive maintenance, and reports needed repairs.
• Safely and efficiently operates all equipment including but not limited to; aerial lift/bucket trucks, trenchers, derrick/digger trucks, cranes, backhoes, trackhoes, air compressors, and concrete saws.
• Makes operating adjustments and minor repairs to equipment such as changing buckets and teeth and tightening loose bolts and fittings.
• Assist with supervision and training of subordinate employees.
