Job summary

Conti Civil LLC in Hampstead, NC is seeking an experienced Equipment Operator for its Hampstead project. You will safely operate excavators, perform daily inspections, and coordinate with crew members to move loads and materials on site.

Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, following safety policies, and adapting to changing job conditions. Candidates must have at least 5 years of excavator experience, be able to lift 50 lbs, and work independently in a construction environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience operating excavators.
• Experience with mass excavations.
• Experience using basic tools; mechanically inclined.

Responsibilities

• Perform documented pre-shift 360 walk-around inspection of the equipment.
• Start engines, operate controls, and follow signals to move and operate equipment.
• Coordinate machine actions with crew and loads; move materials as directed.
• Load and move dirt, rocks, equipment, and material.
• Ensure proper care and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
• Perform daily maintenance and housekeeping tasks.

What We Are Looking For

An experienced Equipment Operator for the Hampstead, NC area project who can Safely operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform documented pre- shift 360 walk-around inspection of the equipment
• Start engines, move throttles, switches, and levers, and depress pedals to operate such stated equipment.
• Coordinate machine actions with other activities, positioning or moving loads in response to hand or audio signals from crew members.
• Load and move dirt, rocks, equipment, and material.
• Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
• must perform daily maintenance and housekeeping including inspection, checking fluid levels, greasing and cleaning.
• Follow safety policies and procedures
• Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned

Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum 5 years of experience operating excavators
• Must have experience with mass excavations
• Experience with basic tools and be mechanically inclined
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs.
• A thorough knowledge about safety precautions while working
• Work requires exposure to construction site environments having extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, smoke, hazardous substances, and loud noise levels
• Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
• Provide personal transportation to and from the job site
• Willingness to learn and adapt to change
