Job summary

LeoTerra Siteworks in Troutman, NC is seeking an experienced Equipment Operator - Grading to join our field team. This role operates heavy equipment to perform rough and fine grading for site development projects, following plans and maintaining safe, efficient operations.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of grading experience, can read grade stakes and site plans, and may have GPS machine control experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of grading experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand grade stakes and site plans.
• Experience with GPS machine control is a plus.
• Valid driver's license required (CDL preferred but not required).
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment such as dozers, motor graders, excavators, skid steers, and compactors.
• Perform rough and fine grading for building pads, roadways, and site development.
• Read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and site plans.
• Establish and maintain proper elevations and slopes.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance.
• Work closely with foreman, surveyors, and crew members.
• Maintain safe job site operations and follow OSHA guidelines.
• Assist with other site work as needed.

Position Summary

The ideal candidate has experience establishing proper grade, working from plans, and operating safely and efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities
