Job summary

The Broward County Government seeks qualified candidates for the position of Equipment Operator at Parks Maintenance Group - North (Tradewinds Park). The role involves operating light and medium duty equipment such as zero turn mowers, bat wing mowers, tractors with attachments, skid steer loaders, and related tools.

Minimum requirements include 1 year of heavy equipment experience and a valid Florida Commercial Driver's License.

Qualifications

Requires 1 year operating heavy equipment
Must possess and maintain a valid Florida CDL for duration of appointment
Must be able to work a flexible schedule that might include mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

Transports construction equipment using a lowbed semi-trailer
Operates tractor-trailer and tandem trucks in local hauling tasks
Loads and unloads vehicles as required
Operates heavy duty road roller in resurfacing and roadway construction
Operates front-end loader or small tractor with hydraulic loading lift and back hoe digging shovel
Operates bush hog for mowing roadway shoulders and removing vegetation from drainage ditches
Operates sweeper truck for cleaning roadways
