Job summary

Ivey Mechanical Company, LLC is seeking an Equipment Operator to join our field crew in North Carolina. This role involves operating lifting and hoisting equipment, following hand signals, and performing routine maintenance on equipment to keep projects on schedule.

The candidate should be able to work from scaffolding or ladders, handle loads safely, and recognize hazardous conditions. OSHA 10 is a plus; other certifications such as forklift or aerial lift are helpful. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Physical stamina required for heavy lifting and prolonged standing.
• Dexterity and accuracy in attaching hooks, clamps and rigging.
• Ability to understand and follow hand signals for load movement.
• Role requires safety awareness and adherence to procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate lifting and hoisting equipment as directed by supervision.
• Follow hand signals for directing movement of loads.
• Operate front end loaders and earth-moving equipment per SOP.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on equipment.
• Attach/detach hooks, clamps and hoisting gear to loads.
• Work from scaffolding, ladders, or heights as needed.
• Identify and respond to hazardous conditions to prevent injuries.
