Comfort Systems USA is seeking an Equipment Operator in Fayetteville, NC. The role involves operating lifting and hoisting equipment to move materials, adhering to established safety procedures and hand signals, and performing routine maintenance on machinery.

Candidates should be able to work from scaffolds or ladders, handle various tools, and comply with safety protocols to prevent injuries on site. A valid OSHA 10 or equivalent is preferred, with forklift or aerial lift certifications

• Knowledge of commercial construction safety practices.
• Ability to identify and solve problems and obtain approvals.

Mansioni

• Operate lifting and hoisting equipment to move materials, tools, and machinery as directed.
• Follow hand signals to direct movement of items.
• Operate front end loaders and earth-moving equipment per SOPs.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on equipment.
• Attach and remove hooks, clamps and other hoisting gear as needed.
• Follow specific directions and work from scaffolding or ladders when required.
• Reach, handle, and manipulate objects in varying positions.
• Lift and carry objects of varying weight.
• Work overhead or from other positions as conditions require.

EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

Job Duties and Requirements

• Operate lifting and hoisting equipment to move materials, tools, and machinery as directed by supervisory personnel.

• Understand and follow hand signals used in directing the movement of materials, tools, and machinery.

• Operate front end loaders and other types of earth moving equipment according to safe operating procedures.

• Perform routine maintenance and repair of various types of equipment.

• Perform variety of tasks involving dexterous use of hands and tools such as attaching and removing hooks, clamps, and other types of hoisting equipment to loads of various materials and machinery.

• Follow specific directions.

• Reach for, handle, and manipulate objects.

• Lift and carry objects of varying weight.

• Perform work from scaffolding, ladders or other structures.

• Perform work overhead, beneath structure, and from various other positions as required by working conditions.

• May be required to be licensed to operate heavy construction equipment.

• Recognize and respond to hazardous conditions or situations to avoid injuries.

Technical Skills

Demonstrate a working knowledge of commercial construction.

Possesses the ability to recognize problems and generate workable solutions for approval and follow through to resolution of problems.

Certificates, Licenses:

OSHA 10 is a plus but will be provided if candidate does not possess.

Any other applicable certifications such as fork lift, aerial lift, etc. are a plus.
