Job summary

P&K Stone, LLC is seeking a Loader/Equipment Operator to join our team. The role involves operating all on-site heavy equipment, performing pre/post-shift inspections, and keeping tools and areas safe and orderly.

Responsibilities include maintaining safety standards, coordinating with team via two-way radio, and supporting yard loading when required. A minimum of 2 years’ heavy equipment experience and English proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in operating heavy equipment.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to communicate with others via a two‑way radio.
• Must wear all required safety equipment and work safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate all on-site mobile and heavy-duty equipment safely.
• Perform daily pre- and post-shift inspections on equipment.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas; assist with maintenance/yard loading as needed.
• Meet safety standards and company rules; respond to management instructions.
• Deliver good customer service and greet visitors on site.
• Work a 5 AM to 4 PM schedule with potential overtime and weekend shifts.

P&K Stone LLC is seeking a Loader/Equipment Operator to become a part of our team!

Job Responsibilities

• All Equipment Operators are responsible for daily pre and post-shift inspections on equipment, and for operating the equipment safely.
• The Equipment Operator has the responsibility of being able to operate all mobile and heavy-duty equipment on site (dozers, loaders, haul truck, etc.)
• Will perform clean‑up work as necessary to keep tools, equipment, and working areas clean, orderly and safe.
• Must comply with company safety rules and regulations
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to be multi‑diversified in performing other related duties such as maintenance/repair, and yard loading when needed
• Ability to understand, interpret, and execute instructions given in both verbal and written form
• Recognize potentially hazardous situations
• Adhere to MSHA and plant safety rules and regulations
• Must wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds
• Meet or exceed company safety standards
• Maintain good customer relationships while delivering exceptional customer service by acknowledging and greeting everyone who comes on site.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Ability to complete pre‑shift inspection report
• Ability to work scheduled shift hours (5 AM to 4 PM) and be flexible with scheduling, overtime and weekends
• Ability to read, write, and speak English

• Ability to wear all required safety equipment
• Ability to perform duties in a safe manner
• Ability to read and interpret gauges
• Ability to work in a TEAM environment
• Bilingual a plus

Physical Requirements

• Must be willing to handle continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors.
• Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, turning, climbing to a significant degree, and/or pulling of controls.
• Exerting up to 100 pounds of force.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear in order to communicate to employees/visitors, as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment.
• Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree.
• Job involves sitting most of the time, but also involves walking or standing for brief periods of time
• Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to, pushing, turning, and/or pulling of controls
