Job summary

Team Fishel, a leading utility construction company, is hiring Equipment Operators for our Chesterfield, VA area operation. The role supports the Foreman in delivering projects safely, on time, and to client specifications.

Operators will use company vehicles to move materials and assist in field installs of manholes and vaults. Applicants should have 3+ years active equipment operating experience; CDL-A is strongly preferred; familiarity with DOT regulations and drug tests; willingness to

Description

Team Fishel , the Best Choice in Utility Construction, is hiring Equipment Operators for our growing Chesterfield, VA area operation. The purpose of an Equipment Operator at Team Fishel is to assist the Foreman in completing the project safely, on-time, and within the customers' specifications for quality, and other work as needed.

The Operator uses Company vehicles on a daily basis to deliver and pick up materials, reels of cable, steel plates, service tools, and equipment. They also work in the field with the crews installing manholes, vaults, and completing any work.

Requirements & Qualifications

3 + years operating utility construction equipment in a safe and productive manner. Equipment includes but not limited to: backhoes, directional drills, trenchers, skid-steer loaders, cranes, digger derricks, bucket trucks, excavators, and crane trucks.

Candidates holding a valid CDL-A strongly preferred

Familiarity with DOT's Enforcement and Compliance regulations

Meet all DOT requirements (physical and drug testing)

Ability to communicate with Teammates

Willingness to work and follow directions

Has a thorough working knowledge of utility construction and installation

Willingness to travel a plus

Previous experience in utility construction and bilingual skills are highly desirable.
