Job summary

Team Fishel in Roanoke, VA seeks an Equipment Operator to support our Foreman, install and service utilities, and help complete projects safely and on schedule.

You will operate a range of construction equipment, deliver materials daily, and work with field crews installing manholes and vaults. Valid CDL-A is strongly preferred, and DOT regulations knowledge is required; willingness to travel is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years operating utility construction equipment.
• Equipment includes backhoes, directional drills, trenchers, skid-steer loaders, cranes, digger derricks, bucket trucks, excavators, and crane trucks.
• CDL-A strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with DOT Enforcement and Compliance regulations.
• Meet all DOT requirements (physical and drug testing).
• Ability to communicate with Teammates.
• Willingness to travel is a plus.
• Thorough working knowledge of utility construction and installation.
• Willingness to follow directions.

Description

Team Fishel , the Best Choice in Utility Construction, is hiring Equipment Operators for our growing Roanoke, VA area operation. The purpose of an Equipment Operator at Team Fishel is to assist the Foreman in completing the project safely, on-time, and within the customers' specifications for quality, and other work as needed.

The Operator uses Company vehicles on a daily basis to deliver and pick up materials, reels of cable, steel plates, service tools, and equipment. They also work in the field with the crews installing manholes, vaults, and completing any work.

Requirements & Qualifications

3 + years operating utility construction equipment in a safe and productive manner. Equipment includes but not limited to: backhoes, directional drills, trenchers, skid-steer loaders, cranes, digger derricks, bucket trucks, excavators, and crane trucks.

Candidates holding a valid CDL-A strongly preferred

Familiarity with DOT's Enforcement and Compliance regulations

Meet all DOT requirements (physical and drug testing)

Ability to communicate with Teammates

Willingness to work and follow directions

Has a thorough working knowledge of utility construction and installation

Willingness to travel a plus
