Equipment Operator-Aggregate Experienced

Job Overview

Operate heavy, material-moving construction equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and productive movement of aggregate material. Perform field engineering, welding, fabrication, major repairs, and service of plant equipment in conjunction with the plant operator to maintain high safety and production standards at the aggregate production facility.

Responsibilities

• Follow proper GOH/MSHA safety practices and procedures.
• Conduct pre- and post-shift plant and equipment inspections.
• Perform as a team member and utilize small hand and power tools, torches, and welding equipment.
• Rebuild crushers and screens, including bearings, brass, and wear parts.
• Maintain proper care and maintenance of company equipment.
• Travel to other job locations as required.
• Work more than 40 hours per week, including nights, Saturdays, and occasionally Sundays.
• Assist with plant maintenance, housekeeping, and daily preventative maintenance tasks.

Knowledge and Skills

• Safe operation of mobile equipment and understanding of plant machinery and safety regulations.
• Ability to operate light equipment and perform fabrication and field engineering.
• Effective problem-solving skills and self-motivation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; heavy equipment operation certification preferred.
• Relevant experience may qualify for different level positions.

Physical Requirements

• Constant ability to sit, climb, wear PPE, and safely enter/exit equipment.
• Occasional ability to work in field environments, shovel, walk on uneven terrain, and lift up to 50 pounds.
