Job summary

ElectriCom Inc, together with Isbell Construction, seeks an Equipment Operator to support aerial and underground fiber-construction projects across the United States. You will operate heavy equipment, assist field crews, perform inspections, and help ensure safe, efficient job-site operations in outdoor environments.

Responsibilities include trenching, load/unload equipment, follow safety procedures, and travel to sites including overnight assignments.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy construction equipment; telecom/utility experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow construction plans and job specifications.
• Strong understanding of job-site safety and utility-location awareness.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, trenchers, skid steers, and rock saws.
• Perform excavation, trenching, backfilling, and site preparation.
• Assist crews with groundwork and installation tasks.
• Complete daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain awareness of underground and overhead utilities.
• Load, unload, and secure equipment and materials.
• Work outdoors in all weather and terrain conditions.
• Travel to job sites, including overnight out-of-town assignments; overtime may be required.
• Participate in required training and perform traffic control as needed.
