Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Selinsgrove Center is seeking an Equipment Operator A to support grounds care, transportation and maintenance across the campus. You will operate various vehicles and equipment and perform manual labor while ensuring safety and quality in daily tasks.

The role requires operating mowers, trucks, buses, and power equipment, performing inspections, and assisting with weather-related duties.

Qualifications

• Six months experience in the operation and maintenance of large vans, buses and single-chassis trucks with GVW 10,001+ pounds; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Operate mowers, trucks, buses and power equipment to support facility needs
• Complete readiness inspections, observe conditions, and report concerns to supervisors
• Mow, trim, and clean lawns, walkways, parking areas, and service zones
• Load and unload supplies and materials and perform general physical labor as assigned
• Plow snow, clear sidewalks, and assist with tasks during bad weather
• Use hand tools and related equipment to complete assigned responsibilities
