Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeks an Equipment Operator A at Selinsgrove Center to support grounds care, transportation, and general maintenance across the facility. You will operate mowers, trucks, buses, and power equipment, performing safety checks and labor tasks to keep campus grounds in top condition.

The role requires a valid Class B CDL with air brake endorsement and a passenger endorsement within 6 months, plus residency in Pennsylvania.

Qualifications

• Six months experience in the operation and maintenance of large vans, buses and single-chassis trucks with a gross vehicle weight of 10,001 pounds or more; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Operate mowers, trucks, buses, and power equipment to support facility needs
• Complete readiness inspections, observe and report concerns to supervisors
• Mow, trim, and clean lawns, walkways, parking areas, and service zones
• Load and unload supplies and perform general physical labor as assigned
• Plow snow, clear sidewalks, and assist with tasks during bad weather
• Use hand tools and related equipment to complete assigned responsibilities
