Job summary

Foot Locker in Sparks, NV is seeking an Equipment Operator to safely run distribution center machinery, move and stack pallets, and help ensure smooth putaway. The role involves operating various forklifts and must follow OSHA safety rules.

This seasonal position lasts up to 90 days with potential extension based on performance. Candidates should have at least 6 months of equipment-operation experience and basic English for safety communications.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of previous equipment operations experience.
• Ability to read, write, operate RF and Print and Apply printing device, conduct business-related mathematics, and analyze data as required.
• Basic proficiency in speaking and understanding English to comprehend safety instructions and participate in drills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate all equipment within the distribution center, including order picker, cherry picker, swing reach truck, reach truck, and other machines.
• Ensure all equipment is fully operational at start of shift and report any damages or malfunctions.
• Operate heavy equipment safely around pedestrians and in tight spaces.
• Perform routine inspections and coordinate repairs with maintenance.
• Follow company and OSHA safety procedures.
• Work in a fast-paced environment.
• Report problems to supervisor or safety staff.
