Job summary

Tri State Paving in Winchester, Kentucky is seeking an Equipment Operator to safely operate a range of equipment including pavers, rollers, skid steers, excavators, backhoes, and loaders. The role emphasizes daily maintenance, securing equipment, and following company policies to minimize risk.

You will perform pre-shift checks, assist with loading and unloading, keep operator forms up to date, and support the crew with concrete, asphalt, and general labor tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment safely and efficiently according to industry standards, policies, and site procedures to minimize risk.
• Ability to excavate and maintain required grade.
• Complete projects in a timely manner to keep crew productive.
• Performs daily safety and maintenance checks.
• Assists in loading and unloading of equipment.
• Cleans equipment as scheduled and/or required.
• Ensures equipment is safely and securely stored at close of shift.
• Maintains operator forms and records in accordance with company policy and procedures.
• When not operating, assists crew with tasks including general labor, concrete work, asphalt work, etc.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Wears required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Practices workplace safety continuously.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Job Summary:

An Equipment Operator is responsible for the operation and general daily maintenance of all equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Equipment may include, but is not limited to, pavers, rollers, skid steers, excavators, backhoes, and loaders. The Equipment Operator must also maintain and secure all equipment by company policy and procedures. Attention to detail and the ability to work safely and efficiently is a priority.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• · Operates all equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant industry standards, policies, and site procedures to minimize risk of injury, property damage or loss of life;
• · Ability to excavate and maintain required grade;
• · Complete projects in a timely manner to keep crew productive;
• · Performs daily safety and maintenance checks;
• · Assists in loading and unloading of equipment;
• · Cleans equipment as scheduled and/or required;
• · Ensures equipment is safely and securely stored at close of shift;
