Job summary

BHI Energy in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for a long-term project at Sutton Steam Plant. The role requires operating bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and other heavy machinery onsite.

Travel to other plants for maintenance is required with per-diem and comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vacation.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of heavy equipment operating experience.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Dirt work experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate bulldozers, excavators, front-end loaders, vibratory roller, skid steer, and mini excavator on site.
• Maintain safety and operate equipment in accordance with site procedures.
• Travel to other plants for maintenance and will be eligible for per‑diem when traveling away from home base.

BHI Energy is currently looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator which will be based at Sutton Steam Plant, located in Wilmington, NC. This is a local hire position and will not pay any relocation fees. However, this position will REQUIRE traveling to other plants for Maintenance and you will be eligible to Receive Per-Diem when you are traveling away from Home Base. We are looking to hire multiple positions based on experience level, The applicant must have at least 3 years of experience in Heavy Equipment Operating! Dirt Work experience is a plus along with the ability to read Blueprints. The Job will require operating Bull Dozers, Excavators, Front End Loaders, Vibratory Roller, Skid Steer, Mini Ex. You will report onsite to the plant in Wilmington, NC. You will report to the site Manager.

Requirements

• Must be 18yrs of age.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• Pass a drug test.
