Job description

Pollman Excavation Inc. in Wakonda SD is seeking a reliable and skilled Equipment Operator to join our team. As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of heavy equipment to assist with excavation and construction projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Operate heavy equipment, including but not limited to skid loaders, loaders, dozers, dump trucks, and side dumps.
2. Operate hand tools including but not limited to shovels, rakes, and brooms.
3. Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
4. Follow project plans and specifications to complete tasks accurately and on time.
5. Communicate with team members and supervisors to coordinate work activities.
6. Maintain a clean and organized environment.
7. Ability to be on time and work until work is finished.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Equipment Operator.
2. Valid Class A Driver's License or the ability to obtain one.
3. Ability to operate a variety of heavy equipment.
4. Strong understanding of construction principles and techniques.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills.
