Heavy Equipment Operator

Seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to join our 2026 team

Midland Contracting Inc., a stable and family-owned heavy highway contractor with decades of experience in the industry, is actively seeking Heavy Equipment Operators to efficiently operate construction equipment on highway construction settings throughout eastern South Dakota.

We are seeking dedicated candidates to operate various construction and power equipment, including dozers, road graders, front-end loaders, and scrapers, while upholding the highest safety standards. You will be required to perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and report any maintenance or repairs to your supervisor. Our jobs are located throughout eastern South Dakota, from spring until fall, with company-provided lodging. Work days are Monday through Friday, with an occasional Saturday.
