Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a motivated individual to join our Kansas Grading Team. Based out of Grantville, KS, you will operate large equipment like the 374 Cat Excavator or D8 Cat bulldozer to remove overburden at various quarries across Kansas and surrounding areas.

Typical hours are Monday to Friday, 6am–6pm, with a full-time schedule of 40+ hours per week and a pay rate of $23–$26 per hour. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent standard requirement.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Bulldozers and excavator experience preferred.
• 1+ years related experience.
• Valid US driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in safety programs and training, promoting Martin Marietta's Guardian Angel culture
• Inspect equipment for signs of wear
• Perform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment
• Work in a team environment
• Clean work areas
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Proper wear of personal protective equipment
• Notify supervisors of repairs needed
• Ensure materials are properly loaded according to safety requirements
• Assist in plant maintenance and repairs
• Perform duties with minimum supervision

Description

Martin Marietta is currently looking for a motivated individual to join our Kansas Grading Team. This position will have the opportunity to operate large equipment like the 374 Cat Excavator or D8 Cat bulldozer removing overburden in different quarries around Kansas. This position will be based out of Grantville, KS but will travel around to locations near Onaga, St. Mary's, and Soldier Kansas to move dirt and shale in the mining process.

Hours

Monday - Friday 6am-6pm

Pay

$23-$26 an hour

Essential Functions
