Brief Description Of The Job
Maintains City’s Streets and Right of Ways in a safe, effective, and efficient manner. Duties include operating light equipment and dump trucks. Must be available to work overtime and be “On Call” as assigned by supervisor.
Knowledge of street maintenance procedures preferred. Knowledge of first aid and CPR procedures.
Ability to operate heavy machinery, move weights up to 100 pounds, understand instructions, work safely, read manuals, take notes, perform calculations, assess problems, and make repairs.
High school diploma or equivalent. One year of roadway maintenance experience or equivalent combination of experience and training.
Valid Texas Commercial Driver’s License (Class A) with tanker endorsement or ability to obtain within six months, with a driving record meeting insurance requirements.
