Construction Equipment Operator - $1000 SIGN-ON BONUS

Position Scope

The Heavy Equipment Operator must be able to operate skid steer, loader, dozer, crusher, or excavator according to project specifications. The individual will be responsible for servicing and maintaining equipment daily.

This position requires travel.

Primary Duties

1. Operate equipment efficiently to maintain production goals.
2. Assist with setup and tear down of plants.
3. Perform general maintenance, repair, and service equipment as required or directed by supervisor.
4. Maintain general housekeeping of equipment and plants daily or as directed by supervisor.
5. Lift objects weighing 80 lb. regularly.
6. Use shovel to move material as necessary.
7. Perform all duties within safety guidelines set by MSHA and company policy.
8. Conduct pre-shift inspections on equipment prior to startup.
9. Adhere to safety policies, procedures, and standards.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

1. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
2. Ability to operate equipment efficiently to meet project specifications.
3. Mechanical knowledge for routine maintenance.
4. Basic welding skills and ability to use a cutting torch.
5. Acceptable MVR according to Fisher's Vehicle Program.
6. Willingness to obtain MSHA part 46 and/or 48 certification (company pays for certification).
7. Ability to work under various adverse weather conditions.
8. Pass pre-employment drug test.
9. Work well in a team environment.
10. Travel required.
