Job Description

The Equipment Operator operates equipment including frontend loaders with buckets, 12k forklifts or smaller with rotators, bobcats, and skid steers. Operators must follow all Balcones Resources safety regulations and golden rules. The operator will perform pre-shift and end-of-shift inspections and is responsible for greasing and maintaining the equipment and work areas.

Major Responsibilities/Duties

• Perform routine maintenance on loaders, such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.
• Complete inspection reports prior to using equipment.
• Safely operate machinery under the supervision of the shift supervisor or production manager. Tasks include loading trucks, piling scrap material, loading/unloading barges and rail cars.
• Conduct end-of-shift cleanup and equipment inspection.
• Regularly clean equipment to preserve its quality and functionality.
• Maintain a commitment to overall safety in the work environment.
• Sweep and shovel residual waste from processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's license.
• At least 12 months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
