Qualifications

  • Expérience de 1 à 3 mois en opération de chargeuse souhaitée.
  • Capacité de porter des équipements de protection individuelle.

Responsibilities

  • Opérer une chargeuse frontale pour soulever et transporter des matériaux.
  • Effectuer l'entretien de routine pour assurer le bon fonctionnement de l'équipement.
  • Compléter les rapports d'inspection avant utilisation.

Job description

Purpose of the Role:

Operates straight or articulated rubber-tired tractor type vehicle equipped with front mounted hydraulically powered bucket or forks to lift and transport bulk materials to and from storage or processing areas, to feed conveyors, hoppers, or chutes, and to load trucks or railcars.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Performs routine maintenance on loader such as lubricating, fueling and cleaning
  • Completes inspection report prior to using equipment
  • Starts engine, shifts gears, presses pedals, and turns steering wheel to operate loader
  • Moves levers to lower and tilt bucket and drives front end loader forward to force bucket into material
  • Moves levers to raise and tilt bucket when filled, drives vehicle to work site, and moves levers to dump material
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience/Qualifications Required:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to comfortably wear all Personal Protective Equipment. (I.e. Uniforms, Safety glasses, Steel Toed Shoes, Hard hat, etc.)

Skills:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of heavy equipment operation.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and depth perception.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including exposure to weather and noise.
  • Team player with good communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
