Job summary

Martin Marietta Materials, Inc. is seeking a Mobile Equipment Operator at the Medford Quarry in New Windsor, MD. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 6 AM–4 PM, focusing on safe operation and routine maintenance of the front end loader to supply materials for concrete production.

Responsibilities include moving material on site, following SOPs to troubleshoot issues, and adjusting equipment under supervision to maximize production while supporting team needs. 1+ year loader experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• 1+ year related mobile equipment operation experience.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability; familiarity with OSHA/MSHA regulations.
• Effective time management and strong communication skills.

Overview

Mobile Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient operation and maintenance of the front end loader in order to provide material for the production of concrete.

Location: Medford Quarry, New Windsor, MD 21776

Hours: Monday‑Friday: 6 AM – 4 PM

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate heavy‑duty equipment to move material around the site as directed within company guidelines and safety standards.
• Use standard operating procedures to troubleshoot malfunctions or issues.
• Under direct supervision, adjust equipment to maximize production.
• Be prepared to take on additional tasks and assignments as required, including duties outside the typical scope of the role to support overall team operations and organizational needs. Flexibility and adaptability to evolving job demands are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• 1+ year related mobile equipment operation experience.
• Mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting ability, and proficiency with OSHA and MSHA regulations.
• Effective time management and strong communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Hiring range: $25.40 – $26.60 per hour (exclusive of benefits).
